Catalano didn’t appear to be aware that he was being observed from a distance. The complaint claims that in February, Guttenberg’s webmaster put a ReCaptcha widget on the website, logging the IP address of each person who left a remark.

The government issued a subpoena to Comcast for the relevant information since the communications had originated from three separate IP addresses. One of the IP addresses was tracked to Catalano’s Fresno residence.

The second one was linked to Catalano’s commercial real estate company, J-C Markets, Inc. According to the lawsuit, while the third test results are still waiting, investigators are confident that the IP address is connected to Catalano’s company.

Fred is the victim’s father who lost her life in the Parkland school shooting. In October, Nikolas Cruz, 23, entered a plea guilty to 17 first-degree murder charges. Gun control activist Guttenberg’s daughter Jaime, 14, was one of the 17 persons killed by gunfire at Marjory Stoneman High School in Parkland.

For the nation’s bloodiest mass shooting, a jury is currently deliberating whether to condemn him to death or life in prison without the possibility of release.

Guttenberg has been harassed by James on the internet almost regularly. James had been sending him emails disrespecting his daughter and her passing to an unfortunate event. While Fred did not respond to the emails, he contacted the authorities to take care of James.

Fred is still mourning the death of his beloved daughter. She would have turned 19 this year.
