Sandra Douglass Morgan is a record-making attorney and executive currently serving as the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders president. She is the first Afro-American woman to hold a position in the league’s history.

Before, she was the chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. She was a defense attorney but later changed to litigation for a casino resort, The Mirage. Later, Morgan also held the position of city attorney for North Las Vegas for around eight years. She was the first African American to be in such an authoritative role in Nevada.

Besides handling her career, she is also a family woman, married to former safety of Minnesota Vikings, Don Morgan. With her husband, she has two kids, Dylan and Dana.

Sandra Douglass has engraved her name as the first Afro-American woman in the important role of an NFL team after she was hired as the president of the Las Vegas Raiders President. 

Mark Davis, the team’s owner, introduced her as the new president in July and stated being very lucky to have her. Some of the contracts with the athletes are open and publicly revealed. But the situation seems the opposite in the case of the higher authority. 

However, Forbes documented that the president of the NFL, Roger Goodell, makes $63.9 million per year. Thus, from the amount he is being paid, we can assume that the new executive of the Raiders, Douglass, must also have millions of dollars in her contract. The previously designated person in the post was Marc Badain, who served the firm for 30 years. 

People think she will serve great in her new designated post as she has already remained the Nevada Gaming Control Board chair. She was in the position for two years, from 2019 to 2021.

She later joined as an Associate Attorney in Parker, Nelson & Arin law firm in 2002. She served the firm for three years until she joined MGM Resorts International as Litigation Attorney. Morgan was in the company till 2008.

Then she reportedly was in the City of North Las Vegas, where she served as the Assistant City Attorney and became the Chief Deputy City Attorney. She was there for more than eight years, starting in 2008, and finally moved from there in 2016.

Sandra was called in for the Director of External Affairs of AT&T firm. While working there, she was designated as the Nevada Gaming Commission commissioner in 2018. Co-incidentally, the attorney left both of her working places in January 2019, as she became chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board for nearly two years.

Since November 2021, Douglass has served in many posts, including Independent Director of Caesars Entertainment, Of Counsel of Covington & Burling LLP. Before signing in with Las Vegas Raider, the executive was an independent director in Fidelity National Financial and Allegiant and still holds the position except in the NFL team. 

She graduated from the University of Nevada in 1999, earning a BA in Political Science and Communication. Later she was named Juris Doctor in Law after attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
