John Zeigler is an acclaimed American Meteorologist who was born and brought-up in Minnesota. Currently, he works at WKOW-ABC 27 News in Madison, Wisconsin as a Chief Meteorologist forecasting at 5, 6 and 10 p.m weather news. Prior to joining the 27 Storm Track Weather Team, he worked at FOX46 Charlotte, WJZY-TV as a Chief Meteorologist.

John worked at KOLR & KSFX in Springfield, Missouri as a Morning Meteorologist for three years, from 2014 to 2017. He served as a Morning Meteorologist at FOX 21 KQDS-DT in Duluth, Minnesota for an year, from 2013 to 2014.

During his time in Charlotte, he covered many hurricanes and even hurricane Irma as it hit the Carolina’s in 2017. Before Charlotte, john was in Springfield, Missouri, where he did the morning news at KOLR 10 for three years. At KOLR 10 his dog Griffey was named the “weather dog” and he was live on there show once a week.

Griffey also appeared on the green screen where he helped him do the forecast! Needless to say, his dog was more famous than him! In Springfield Zeigler also found himself in the heart of tornado country and covered countless tornado outbreaks. His career started back in Duluth, Minnesota, where he was again a morning meteorologist.

When John was in Duluth he learned so much about forecasting snow and the cold. During his first year on air, they received 136 inches in one year. Now, this might be hard to believe but he loves winter, the more snow the better. He attended St. Cloud State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.
