Kim Adams is no longer married to her former husband, Jeffrey Daudert, the United States Navy’s coastal mine hunter.
The couple first met when Kim worked for WXYZ-TV as a broadcast weather reporter, and Jeff was on the same ship. Seventeen months after that trip, they flew to Paris and got engaged in front of the Eiffel Tower.
After Katrina, Hurricane destroyed their dream house family had to go through a tough time financially and emotionally. Around 2016, Kim Adams and Jeffrey Daudert parted ways while children’s custody stayed on Adams’s side.
In an Interview with Hour Magazine, Kim chose not to describe why they divorced. But she “I had no choice. Absolutely no choice.”

Jeff was born in Kalamazoo and now resides in Clinton Township.
Daudert attended Loy Norrix High School and then joined Central Michigan University. He has a degree in leadership and management from Harvard Business School.
Daudert is also sailing abroad on his boat Relentless, a C&C 121. He always had a passion for offshore racing.

Kim Adams Is a Single Mother to Five Children
Kim Adams has raised her five children as a brave single mother while also battling cancer. She has four sons, Andrew, Harry, Alexander, Aaron, and one daughter, Ava.
Besides these adorable humans, Adams is also a parent to her pet dogs, Rosie and Cali.
Ava is the oldest sibling in the family, while Andrew is the youngest. Andrew is nine years old, while Alexander is thirteen years old.
In an Interview with Hour Magazine, Kim said that she did not have time to be vulnerable as she had to take care of her kids during her cancer battling period. The kids wanted breakfast, dinner, and lunch.
Her cancer diagnosis was just heart-wrenching news to her children following the divorce. She took them on a surprise vacation to Disney World to make the information less miserable.
Adams had an on-and-off relationship with her professional work but never with her children. In 2009, Kim left Detroit after giving birth to her third and transitioned her career to TV advertising to have more family time.
Her daughter Ava is currently a student at Michigan State University and was on a national volleyball team.

The meteorologist lost her father, probably due to a pulmonary embolism or heart attack. He used to be the caretaker of Kim’s mother, Cindy.
She joined WDIV in 2002 but left in 2005 to become a full-time mother and join her Naval officer former spouse in Pascagoula, Mississippi, where they constructed a three-bedroom home.
Amidst her divorce settlement period, she was surviving another life battle due to breast cancer. Moreover, her house was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, and without any job, she had the responsibilities of five children and her mother.
She is a proud five-year cancer survivor dedicated to helping women with the same disease.
