Ellie Goulding Hate me – Ellie Goulding and Juice Wrld song

“Hate Me” is a song by British singer Ellie Goulding and American rapper and singer Juice Wrld, released as a single on 26 June 2019 through Polydor Records. It was premiered by Zane Lowe as his ‘World Record’ on Beats 1 on 26 June. It was included on Goulding’s fourth studio album, Brightest Blue (2020).

On 23 June, Goulding posted a short clip on Instagram with audio of herself harmonizing set to video of a chain featuring the initials “EG” and “JW”, and announced the release date. Around the same time, the pre-order link for “Hate Me” became active. Goulding officially announced the title and collaboration with Juice Wrld on 24 June.

The song debuted at number 82 on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming Goulding’s 14th entry on the chart making her the British female artist with the most entries on the chart surpassing Adele. The next week the song moved to number 74 and peaked number 72 in its original run. Following a rise in popularity on the social media site TikTok, “Hate Me” re-entered the Hot 100 at number 69 in late October, and has since peaked at number 56.

Ellie Goulding Lights

“Lights” is a song by English singer and songwriter Ellie Goulding from Bright Lights (2010), the reissue of her debut studio album, Lights (2010). Written by Goulding, Richard Stannard and Ash Howes, the song was inspired by Goulding’s childhood fear of the dark.

It was released on 16 February 2011 as the album’s sixth single overall, and second from Bright Lights. Originally a bonus track on the UK and German iTunes edition of Lights, the song was re-edited for inclusion on Bright Lights in late 2010, serving as the single version.

The music video for “Lights” was filmed by Sophie Muller on 21 September 2010 before the lead single from the Bright Lights re-release was changed to “Your Song”. It was officially released on 20 January 2011. The video shows Goulding dancing, playing the drums and the tambourine whilst different lighting effects including lasers surround her as she sings.

It also shows her in numerous scenes swinging different hand-held lights and torches around giving the impression of a light painting, whilst the camera produces a bullet time effect like those used in The Matrix. The lighting rig in the video was created by a small group of students from Middlesex University.

It was released on 5 July 2013 as the lead single from the reissue. The song was originally recorded by British singer Leona Lewis for her third studio album, Glassheart (2012), but it was ultimately scrapped.

Upon its release, “Burn” was met with a mixed response from music critics, who praised it as “catchy” and noted it as one of Goulding’s most radio-friendly songs to date, while others felt it was not memorable. It earned Goulding her first number-one single on the UK Singles Chart, selling 116,857 copies in its first week and staying atop the chart for three consecutive weeks. The track attained similar success internationally, reaching the top 10 in countries such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, and Sweden, as well as number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
